Robbery, Burglary and a Man Said To Have Jumped from a Truck

City police recently investigated a robbery in which a man was hit twice and several burglaries, as state police looked into a man who fell from a truck on I-95.

A 24-year-old Norwalk man walking late at night in the area of Beau Street was struck in the head and robbed of his cell phone.

The incident occurred just before 12:44 a.m. Tuesday morning. The man told police he was struck from behind on the back of his leg, he thought by a passing car, and he fell to the ground.

He recalled a male then hitting him on the side of the neck with what he thought was a bottle. The victim then fell to the ground a second time and covered his head to protect himself. The person who hit him then took his Verizon LG cell phone and, he thinks, got into the car.
