Kids: Don't do these things. And don't waste beer, either (don't drink it, but don't waste it).

A Fairfield woman was arrested Saturday after she got out of her car at a car wash run by elementary school kids at an elementary school and , police said.

"She did this in view of numerous children," according to a Fairfield police spokesperson.

The 43-year-old woman was intoxicated and charged with driving under the influence after officers found her in her car in McKinley School's parking lot and she failed field sobriety tests, police said.

Greenwich police arrested a 16-year-old town teen after they saw him as he moved his car into a parking lot following an accident.

The teen was charged with driving under the influence and possession of alcohol by a minor.  A passenger in the car the teen is accused of hitting also told police he saw the accused driver and his passenger remove two 30-packs of Bud and hide them next to a nearby Dumpster before police arrived at the accident scene.

A trio of magazine salespeople — Fairfield County’s — might add to Tom Petty’s catchy refrain: “Not without a permit.”

A New Orleans resident, a Chicagoan and a resident of Augusta, GA (site of The Masters golf major) are facing fines after soliciting magazine subscriptions door-to-door without a permit, according to police, a practice that has bedeviled Darien for years.

Reports this week of two singular larcenies out of New Canaan.

First, police responded to a larceny after an employee from a mom-and-pop liquor shop reported that a case of liquor was missing from the store. After noticing the missing inventory, the owner and complainant reviewed surveillance videos, which showed a delivery person had , valued at $192, police said.

Then, a town woman reported that a concrete Buddha statue was taken from her yard. The 2-foot-high statue was on a stone wall and is valued at $1,000, according to police.

A 42-year-old Weston man is facing simple trespass charges after a neighbor complained to police that a car in his driveway woke up his family.

Police responded and found the , a compressed air product. When officers told him to stop and show his hands, he refused. Officers then removed him from the vehicle, and handcuffed him. Once his high wore off, officers said, Lafayette said he lived next door and made a mistake. It cost him a $92 fine.
