Police Release Video of Suspected Gunman

Norwalk Police have released photos and video clips showing a man sought as a suspect in an armed robbery last October during which a woman was shot.

The pictures come from surveillance cameras outside and inside the eastbound waiting room of the South Norwalk Train Station.

The hold-up occurred about 1:40 p.m. in the parking lot of Stop & Shop at 385 Connecticut Ave.

The woman was sitting in her parked car when the gunman approached her, police said. He shot her in the abdomen and then fled across Connecticut Avenue. The woman survived.

Police describe the gunman as a black male in his 20s, thin build, 5-foot-10-inches-tall, wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers. He is bald and has a goatee or chin-strap style facial hair. He may also have tattoos on both forearms.

In a news release, Det. David Orr said the suspect may reside in New Haven, Hartford, or New York.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact Orr at (203) 854-3190 or via the Norwalk Police Tipline, (203) 854-3111.
