Police Investigate Possible Shooting at Norwalk's American Legion Hall [Update]

Norwalk police reportedly received reports of a gunshot heard in the parking lot of American Legion Hall from witnesses who were attending a baby shower at the facility.

Norwalk Police have reportedly confirmed that a man was shot at least once Saturday night during a baby shower at the American Legion meeting hall.

According to a report in The Hour of Norwalk, the man, who has not yet been identified,was shot once in the arm and possibly in the abdomen. He was reportedly transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to the report, citing statements made by police, the incident occurred at about 7:48 p.m. in the hall's rear parking lot. Police have not yet released information about the circumstances that led to the shooting.

Witnesses reportedly told police the shooting was the result of an altercation between a male guest at a baby shower and another person who had apparently crashed the party.

As of the time of the report it was not known if anyone had been injured.
