Police: Former Beau Assaults Woman's Male Friend

Pushes in air conditioner to gain entry to residence, police said.

A Meadow Street woman told police Tuesday night her former boyfriend assaulted a man she was "hanging out with" in her residence earlier in the evening, police said.

According to police spokesman Sgt. James Boff, the woman said she had received phone calls from Stanley Easton, but didn't answer them. While visiting with a male friend, she said she discovered Easton looking in through a bedroom window.

She told him to go away, Boff said, but Easton pushed in a window air conditioner, striking the woman in the arm with it, and then climbed into the residence. He assaulted the man visiting her, Boff said, then fled.

Officers later spotted Easton on Lexington Avenue and took him into custody.

Paramedics were called to examine the 33-year-old woman's arm injury, but police reports did not indicate she was taken to Norwalk Hospital.
