Police: Drugs Found in Car, Occupants Arrested

Tip about driver with a suspended license results in "street team" spotting suspect's car.

An undercover Special Services “street team” arrested two people on drug charges Tuesday afternoon after spotting a car reportedly being operated by a driver with a suspended license.

Police spokesman Lt. Praveen John said the officers knew the license plate of the suspected driver’s car and spotted the vehicle in a gas station on Connecticut Avenue.

The officers reported observing a male exit another car in the station and enter the first car, leading them to suspect a drug transaction was occurring.
