Police: Convicted Felon Found in Possession of Firearms, Drugs

Special Services officers executed a search and seizure warrant Wednesday morning at the residence of a convicted felon, resulting in him being taken into custody for allegedly possessing guns and narcotics, police said.

The officers arrived at the South Norwalk home of Michael Williams at 5:30 a.m. and arrested him without incident, said the commander of Special Services, Lt. James Walsh.

Walsh said a warrant to search Williams' home was obtained after an investigation lasting several months found he was allegedly selling drugs from there.

A search of Williams' residence found he had a revolver and four rifles in his bedroom, Walsh said, noting felons are forbidden from possessing firearms.
Officers also recovered powdered cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana, Walsh said.

Powdered cocaine found on a bathroom floor indicated Williams may have had time to flush drugs down the toilet, Walsh said.

Williams, 47, of 124 Lexington Ave. Extension, was charged with four counts of criminal possession of firearm, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a housing project, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a housing project.

Williams was released after posting a $50,000 bond, and was given a court date of June 6.
