Police Arrest Man On Warrant Issued In 2009

A Norwalk man was arrested for assault charges from November of 2009.

Police say, Luis Serrano, 31, of Bedford Street in Norwalk was arrested Monday at 10:45pm for assualt and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident November 11, 2009.

According to police, Serrano was engaged in an ongoing argument with a girlfriend at the DoubleTree Hotel. Police say, Serrano struck the woman accross the left side of her face.

Serrano was picked up by police near Lexington Ave. in Norwalk on Monday Febuary 13, 2012, police say. 

According to police,Serrano was charged with assault and disorderly conduct. Police said, his bond was set at $5,000 and his court date was Febuary 14.

Norwalk Man Arrested For 2011 Assault Of A Disabled Person

Norwalk police say, Clement Hunte, 21, of Ely Ave. in Norwalk was arrested Monday for an assault charge from December 6, 2011. 

According to police, Hunte was arrested for a domestic assault that occurred during an arguement with his mother in her home. Hunte, apparently, shook his mother, she claims, causing back pain, police say. 

Hunte was charged with assualting a disabled person because his mother, 46, is deaf, according to police Sgt. Cotto. 

Police say, Hunte has been charged with assault of a disabled person and bond was set at $5,000. 

Teens Hit By A Car In Crosswalk

Police say, a woman struck two teenage pedestrians in a crosswalk Monday night at 8:44pm while traveling north on Main St. 

According to police, a female pedestrian, 18, and male pedestrian, 17, were "clipped" while crossing in a crosswalk at the intersection of Main St. and Broad St. each suffering minor injuries listed as hand and body abrasions. Both pedestrians refused medical attention, yet were later treated and released at Norwalk Hospital

Police say, the female pedestrian "was sure the light was red," subsequently the driver of the vehicle was ticketed after saying she "couldn't stop in time," according to police.

Police say, Alba Urquia-Alvarado, 31, was issued citations for failure to yeild to pedestrians in a crosswalk, failure to obey a control signal, and operation of a motor vehicle without a license.
