Police: Agitated Man Threatens Sister With Kitchen Knives
Upset she didn't know where his passport was.
A city man was arrested Sunday afternoon for allegedly threatening his sister with a pair of kitchen knives.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment on Main Ave. at 4:47 p.m. by a woman reporting her brother became agitated because she didn’t know where his passport was.
Police spokesman Lt. Praveen John said when officers arrived, the woman told them her brother, Louis Azolin, had left the apartment with two kitchen knives.

She said Azolin asked her where his passport was and she told him she didn’t know. He followed her into the kitchen and repeated the question, she told officers. She said when she again told him she didn’t know where it was, he picked up two knives from the counter in one hand and raised them above his head as if he was going to stab her.
She attempted to call 911, John said, but Azolin grabbed her cell phone and then left. She went to a neighbor’s apartment to call police.

The officers looked through the windows of her brother’s car in the parking lot and reported spotting two knives on the back seat.
They called him a left a voice message. Azolin eventually returned to the apartment was taken into custody.
Officers said Azolin was in possession of his sister's cell phone.
Azolin, 59, of 356 Main Ave., was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, second-degree threatening, disorderly conduct, sixth-degree larceny, and interfering with a 911 call.
He was held on $10,000 bond and was to appear in court Monday.
