Man Shot in Back on Woodward Avenue [Update]
Police take man into custody as alleged shooter. Broadcasts indicate victim has life-threatening injury. Trauma alert called at Norwalk Hospital.

The man taken into custody following the shooting is Sean Williams, 19, of 27 Neputune Ave.
Det. Sgt. Lee Young said Williams is being held on a charge of second-degree criminal trespass. His possible involvement in the shooting is still being investigated, Young said.

Williams was found hiding in the basement of a store on Woodward Avenue, Young said.
The victim's gunshot wound is not life threatening and "he's going to live," Young said.

A man was shot in the back Saturday afternoon in the area of 50 Woodward Ave. in South Norwalk.
The shooting was reported at 2:14 p.m. Police broadcasts indicated the victim has a life-threatening injury. He was transported by ambulance to Norwalk Hospital, where a trauma alert was issued in the Emergency Department.
Less than 20 minutes after the shooting was reported, police took a man into custody as the alleged shooter.
Police broadcasts indicated at .38-caliber revolver was used by the shooter.
Police located at least one eyewitness to the shooting, according to police broadcasts.
