Another Fairfield woman told police that an ex-boyfriend—a man she’d dated for about 18 months—was . She had recently ended their relationship and attempted to end all contact with him, fearing for her safety.

A North Haven woman faces assault and other charges after allegedly . The boyfriend reportedly wouldn’t return her cellphone, and when she attempted to take it from him, she scratched his neck and bit his forearm, police said.

A 37-year-old Weston woman, who had reportedly been in rehab for alcohol addiction, police said, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 9 and charged with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief in the third degree, assault on a police officer and risk of injury to a minor.

According to police, the woman's daughter called police because her mother was drunk and she was in fear of her safety. While she was getting arrested, the woman allegedly grabbed the crotch of one of the arresting officers, before falling over and screaming hysterically.

On Friday, Sept. 9, the  was notified by a concerned citizen that a man wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt was stealing a television off of the wall in the Saugatuck Railroad Station.

A police officer responded to the area, confirmed the television was missing and immediately began a search of the area for any suspects.  Officer Simpson located the suspect sitting on the New York bound platform with the television wrapped in garbage bags next to him, police said.

A 48-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary and fifth-degree larceny. He was held on a $5,000 bond.

A 23-year-old Stamford man was arrested on an accusation that he was screaming "get the **** away from me" and other expletives at random Grade A Market customers. The man had been to store several times before, shouting and swearing at shoppers. "The store manager said that in the past, a store employee has approached [the man] and asked him to leave the store," SPD's Sgt. John Scalise said. "He's been warned that if he returns, he would be arrested."

An argument over a $700 loan in South Norwalk escalated into an assault and  on Interstate 95 between Norwalk and Bridgeport Thursday before a Bridgeport man was arrested, police said. Police gave this account:

When Norwalk police were first called to a home in South Norwalk, a woman with blood on her clothes and her wrist wrapped in a towel told police about the fight.

She described the vehicle that the Bridgeport man was driving, and after police broadcast the description, a Westport police officer parked near I-95 recognized the vehicle, followed it, called back to headquarters (where it was discovered tha the vehicle was stolen), and began pursuit. After a chase, the driver exited the highway in Bridgeport and the chase occurred along city streets there. At one point, a Westport patrol car was rammed by the driver. After crashing into a parked car, the man got out of his vehicle and tried to run away, but was caught.

Police said a Norwalk man went uninvited to a party at a Norwalk home on Sunday and began arguing with a woman there. When others told him to leave,  and continued his argument, police said. He left the party before police arrived, but was later spotted by a police officer on Tuesday and arrested, police said.

A Greenwich woman was not only arrested Monday for attempting to shoplift at a Norwalk store, she was also charged with  in the theft, police said. She allegedly told her boy to put his old pair of sneakers in a shoebox and walk out with the new pair he was trying on. She also had other unbought items hidden on her as she tried to leave the store, police said. The total price for the items she was accused of trying to shoplift: $89.

A Bridgeport man's failure to tell police that he had recovered the car he previously had reported stolen  in Norwalk, police said. According to police reports, officers found he had an 8-1/2-inch-long knife in the car, and a straw with crack cocaine residue on his person. He was arrested.

A private eye was charged with disorderly conduct recently after he allegedly  in order to track her whereabouts. Police said the investigator used duct tape to fasten a box containing the phone and a battery to the bottom of her car. The detective was working on behalf of the woman's former husband. On Aug. 11 the woman noticed the device hanging down from beneath her car. The private eye told police he had been using cell phones and a website to track the movement of people.

An employee at a drive-up window of McDonald’s on Connecticut Avenue in Norwalk was  recently after the empoyee asked passengers in a car to repeat their order, police said. Police gave this account of what happened next: The driver became angry, told the employee he needed to do his job better, and asked when he got off from work. Then a passenger got out of the car and began banging on the drive-up window. The window opened enough that the passenger was able to punch the employee in the shoulder. The car then drove off.
