Members of the Special Services Division of the Norwalk Police Department used the online message board Craigslist to catch two women Tuesday afternoon who were allegedly offering sex for money, according to Lt. Jim Walsh.
In the first case, an undercover officer contacted Sophie Larevoy, 21, whose last known address was 5 Allen Road in Norwalk, through a Craigslist ad. The officer arranged to meet Larevoy on Chestnut Street, and prior to the meeting she allegedly texted him a list of sexual services she could perform and how much each would cost.
She was arrested after meeting up with an officer at about 3 p.m.
In the second case, Carolyn Aiello, 47, whose last known address was 607 Oak River Court, Osprey, Fla., posted an ad with pictures on Craigslist also allegedly offering sex for money.
After being contacted by an undercover officer, Aiello told him she was staying at an unnamed Norwalk motel, and she allegedly gave the officer information about what sexual services she could provide.
Aiello was allegedly prepared to offer sex for $300 and was arrested by police at the motel at about 5:30 p.m.
Both women were charged with prostitution; Larevoy was held in
lieu of a $2,500 bond and Aiello was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
The two were scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court Wednesday.
