Norwalk Police Investigate Shooting Incident on Taylor Avenue

An unknown gunman fired a handgun at a group of four men sitting on a stoop in front of a home on Taylor Avenue Wednesday night, but no one was injured, police said.

The shooting occurred just before 10 p.m. The group was sitting talking when two dark-skinned black males walked up.

The six exchanged words and one of the men who walked up pulled out a gun and began firing multiple shots at the four. None of the bullets hit any of the men, and the pair ran off.

Police did not disclose the exact number of shots fired, or whether any shell casings were found. Additionally, police also did not disclose whether the people in the two groups knew each other.

Officers and detectives swarmed the area but did not find the gunman.

The investigation is continuing.
