Norwalk Man Threatens To Pull Gun on Pedestrian
Police arrested a man after threatening to get a gun from his car during an argument with another Norwalk resident.
were called to Stevens Street for a disturbance Tuesday afternoon when a man allegedly threatened to get a gun from his car while arguing with a pedestrian.
The call came in after a man driving a red two-door Honda allegedly almost hit the complainant in a crosswalk. The two men argued and, according to police, Norwalk resident William Rodriguez threatened to get a gun from his car. Rodriguez then went into the trunk of his vehicle and came out with what the complainant described as a “small black object.”
Rodriguez left the scene and was stopped on the corner of Washington and Water Streets after the complainant called police with Rodriguez's plate number and vehicle description. There were several patrol cars on the scene due to the possibility of a weapon. The vehicle was towed to Norwalk Police Department, but no weapon was found. There was, however, a black drill in the trunk, according to police.
