Norwalk Man Shot Twice After Stare Down

Norwalk man shot twice after confrontation

A Norwalk man was shot twice on January 7 as he fled from an apparent confrontation with two unidentified males.

According to the police report, the 25-year old victim said he was leaving a restaurant on Woodward Avenue around 7:30 p.m. and was en route to a liquor store telling police officials  he wanted "a bottle of Hennessey." While walking south on Woodward Avenue, the victim encountered two black males who were wearing dark clothing and masks. According to the victim, the two men gave him a "hard look" as they passed him on the street.

A short time later, the victim said he felt  he was being followed and started to run. According to the police report, the victim heard shots fired and then felt a painful burning sensation in his left arm and buttocks. Upon investigation, police officials said the victim did not see who the shooter was and refused to go into an ambulance initially. The victim then changed his mind and went to Norwalk Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
