Norwalk Man Dies After Crashing Motorcycle Into Car on Main Avenue

Wilton teen says she saw motorcycle approaching as she turned left in front of it to enter tire store's parking lot.

A 29-year-old Norwalk man died Thursday afternoon after his motorcycle crashed into a car on Main Avenue.

Police said Michael Miller of Glendenning Street was riding northbound on a 2007 Kawasaki motorcyle when a southbound car turned in front of him and he slammed into its rear passenger door.

The crash was reported at 3:36 p.m. in front of the Town Fair Tire store at 580 Main Ave.

Officers dispatched to the scene reported an off-duty Greenwich police officer was performing chest compressions on Miller when they arrived. Miller was taken by ambulance to Norwalk Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the car, an 18-year-old female from Wilton, reportedly told police she saw the motorcycle approaching when she turned left into Town Fair's parking lot. She has not been charged.
