Norwalk Man Charged with Stealing TV from Boat

Repairs to a boat after a break-in may well have cost more than the television set that was stolen from it in August. On Wednesday, Norwalk police made an arrest in the case.

Norwalk police took fingerprints after a burglary to a boat in Norwalk resulted in the loss of a television set, damage to window and door latches and cracked Fiberglas.

The television set was a Samsung Smart Range, which retails for $800 to $1,600. The boat repairs cost the owner about $1,500, police were told.

The fingerprint check led to Fabian Lugo, 21, of West Cedar Street, police said. He was arrested Wednesday and held in lieu of $15,000 bond. Lugo is scheduled to appear Sept. 26 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
