Norwalk Man, 20, Arrested for Narcotics Possession

Omar Reid is being held on five counts of sale and possession.

After an investigation into street heroin sales in Norwalk and various areas of Darien, police arrested Omar Reid, 20, of 11 Fort Point St., Norwalk, on multiple narcotics charges, according to a Norwalk Police Department news release.

Officials say Reid sold heroin to an undercover officer on multiple occasions and was arrested during today's transaction in the parking lot of 201 Liberty Square. Police found Reid with a "bundle," or 10 folds, of heroin. When police searched his home, they found two more bundles of heroin underneath his bedroom pillow.

According to the release, Reid was held on five counts of possession and sale of narcotics to an undercover officer. He was charged for an additional count because all cases were held within 1,500 feet of a daycare and another count for possession at his home. His court date is set for April 17.

Officials advise anyone with information regarding these investigations to call the Norwalk Police Department at 203-854-3111 or submit an anonymous tip on the Norwalk Police Department website.
