Norwalk Fire Department Swears in Two New Lieutenants

Firefighter Charles Papadopoulos and Firefighter Leonard Coleman are now Lieutenants. Congratulations!

The Norwalk Fire Department recently held swearing-in ceremonies for two newly appointed Lieutenants. 

Firefighter Charles Papadopoulos and Firefighter Leonard Coleman were promoted to fill vacant Lieutenants positions, due to their standing on the Lieutenants promotional list.

Lieutenant Papadopoulos is a 16-year veteran of the department and his father and uncle were both Norwalk Firefighters. Lieutenant Coleman is a 9-year veteran of the department.

Their oath of office was administered by Mayor Richard Moccia and Fire Commissioner Carol Andrioli as Fire Chief Denis McCarthy, fellow firefighters, and family were on hand to witness the ceremony.
