Norwalk Fire Department Extinguishes Sunday Blaze

Firefighters put out blaze on Clinton Ave.

The Norwalk Fire Department received a call on Sunday evening about a working structure fire at 42 Clinton Avenue. Emergency units responded at 7:54 p.m and found a two-story, two-family showing smoke from the eaves and gable vents.

Accoring to the Norwalk Fire Department, crews entered the building and found a fire in the second floor bathroom ceiling and extending into the attic. The roof was quickly opened and the fire extinguished. Fire damage was confined to the bathroom ceiling, the attic floor and some contents.

The two apartments were occupied at the time of the fire. Everyone was outside upon our arrival. There were no injuries. An investigating of the fire is on-going.
