Norwalk Drug Dealer Gets Five Years in Prison

After a joint Drug Enforcment Administration/Norwalk Police investigation, Anthony Holley was arrested with 28 grams of crack in his home; his sentencing today was in U.S. District Court in New Haven.

A Norwalk drug dealer was sentenced to five years in federal prison for possessing crack and powder cocaine last year at his home in Monterey Village apartments.

Anthony Holley, 31, was arrested at his home on Dec. 21, 2010, when federal and local law enforcement officers seized about 75 grams of crack cocaine, roughly 10 grams of powder cocaine, a scale used for weighing illegal drugs and $581 in currency.

He never made bail after his arrest. On April 8, he pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of crack cocaine.

In U.S. District Court in New Haven, Judge Ellen Bree Burns sentenced Holley to 60 months in prison, to be followed by five years of probation.

The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Norwalk Police Department investigated the case, which was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Tracy Lee Dayton.
