Norwalk Cop Arrested, Placed On Leave
Shannon Sherry of the Norwalk Police Department arrested for disorderly conduct.
Detective Shannon Sherry of the Norwalk Police Department, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on December 11. He's been placed on administrative leave while an internal investigation is conducted.
According to John Nickerson of the Stamford Advocate, who first reported the story, Shannon allegedly grabbed his wife by the hair and held her down and then insulted the officers responding to the incident. The seven-year veteran of the police department, allegedly had been drinking. Sherry was given a summons to appear in court.
Sherry and his arrest were not part of the log distributed to the media on Monday morning and his file has been locked to department personnel who distribute information during the press briefings.
