Motorcyclist Crashes Into Car on Grumman Avenue [Update]

A motorcyclist crashed into a car Tuesday morning on Grumman Avenue and appeared to sustain serious injuries.
The accident, which occurred at Mohawk Drive, was reported at 9:11 a.m.
The biker, Carlton Bavor, 50, of 218 Grumman Ave., lay flat on his back as passersby attended him before police and firefighters arrived. He was conscious and speaking, but appeared to be bleeding from his face.
The motorcycle slammed into the passenger side of a 2013 Lincoln Town Car SUV.
Grumman Avenue was closed until after 1 p.m. while investigators took measurements and documented how the accident occurred.
As of 4 p.m. police said the accident remained under investigation and no charges had been filed.
