Man Home From Jail Reports Property Theft

Lets men stay in his condo during three months of incarceration.

A city man filed a complaint with police Wednesday stating that while he was in jail, two men he allowed to stay in his condominium stole thousands of dollar of his property.

The man said he was incarcerated for three months, during which time the men lived in his condo at 33 North Water St. in South Norwalk.

Stolen, he said, were $10,000 in rare coins, an Apple iPad, a Sony digital camera and two bottles of Cristal champagne. He estimated the loss at $14,000.
