Man Caught with Cocaine, Marijuana Near Norwalk Preschool

A 21-year-old Norwalk man was arrested after police found him to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana.


Norwalk police initiated a traffic stop early Wednesday in front of the Room to Grow Preschool located at 208 East Avenue after an officer noticed a broken brake light on a vehicle, police said.

While approaching the vehicle, the officer saw the passenger, identified as 21-year-old Alfred Trusewicz, of Norwalk, stuff something in his sock, which turned out to be 0.5 grams of cocaine, police said.

A Norwalk police K9 responded to the scene. Trusewicz was also found to 6.5 grams of marijuana, police said.

Trusewicz was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, and illegal possession of narcotics near a school, according to an arrest report.

Trusewicz was issued a $2,500 bond. He is due in court May 24.
