Man Accused of Sexually Molesting Co-Worker

A city man was arrested by warrant Saturday for allegedly sexually molesting a co-worker at a dental office in July.

Rafael Arias was charged with first-degree sexual assault based on accusations made by a woman he worked with at West Avenue Dental, 520 West Ave.

Police spokeswoman Sgt. Lisa Cotto said the woman came to Police Headquarters July 12 to report that the previous day Arias grabbed her at work in a hallway and kissed her, then touched her genitals with his fingers.

Cotto said Arias is the officer manager at the dental practice, and during questioning by police, denied he had touched the 24-year-old woman.

Arias, 39, of 5 Hillwood Pl., was held on $200,000 bond and given a court date of Oct. 1.
