Man Accused of Seeking Sex From Stepdaughter

The following information was provided by the Norwalk Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A city man was arrested Saturday evening for allegedly attempting to persuade his 17-year-old stepdaughter to have sex with him.

Reading an officer’s account of the incident, police spokeswoman Sgt. Lisa Cotto said when the teen’s mother arrived home from work Friday night her daughter told her that her husband had been pressuring her to have sex with him for four or five years, and they had sexual intercourse in June.

Her mother brought her to police headquarters Saturday to file a complaint. The teen told police that from time to time he would kiss her or touch her breasts.

Motorist Reports Man Followed Her, Rammed Her Car

A city man was arrested Sunday for allegedly harassing a woman by driving behind her car at close distance and ramming her when she stopped at a red light.

The incident began when the woman took exit 1 of the Route 7 connector. She said a man in a van was waiting at the stoplight where the ramp intersects with Van Buren Avenue, and that he wanted to turn left although he was in a lane marked for only going straight.

She said she steered her car around the van and proceeded up Grandview Avenue and that he then pulled up very close to her rear bumper and began following her.

She pulled to the curb and called 911, and the dispatcher advised her to keep driving until officers could locate her. However she stopped at a red light which is when, she said, the driver of the van slammed into the back of her car.

He then drove away, she said, while yelling obscenities and gesturing at her.

The victim obtained the license plate of the offending vehicle, which led police to the residence of Georgios Nikifordes, 41, of 23 Fairview Ave.

Police said he appeared to have been drinking and denied the incident occurred.

Nikifordes was charged with operating a motor vehicle with the intent of harassing or intimidating someone, evading responsibility and failure to display a front license plate.

He was assigned a court date of Sept. 15.
