Taken overnight some time between 4:45 p.m. Monday and 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.

A contractor making renovations at an Aiken Street condominium complex Tuesday reported an overnight theft of 81 PVC posts and millwork trim boards.

The contractor said the boards -- some 20 feet long -- were taken some time after 4:45 p.m. Monday from Winnipauck Village, 71 Aiken St. He found them missing at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.

The boards were being installed by MJT Exteriors of Middletown.

The complainant said an inventory of the boards was taken before the company's employees left the site Tuesday afternoon.

Fifty-two of the boards were 20 feet long, he said.
