Jogger Struck and Killed on New Canaan Ave. in Norwalk [Update]

According to a breaking news report in The Hour of Norwalk the 44-year-old male jogger died Saturday after being transported to Norwalk Hospital with serious injuries.

Police have reportedly identified the jogger who was struck and killed by an SUV on New Canaan Avenue Saturday morning as 44-year-old Kenneth Dorsey of Norwalk.

According to a report in The Hour of Norwalk, Dorsey was running southbound on New Canaan Avenue Saturday morning when he was hit from behind by an SUV driven by a 16-year-old New Canaan girl.

Police have not charged the 16-year-old, who reportedly pulled over and dialed 911 immediately after the accident occurred.

A jogger was reportedly and killed on New Canaan Avenue (Rte. 123) in at about 9:30 a.m., Saturday, by an SUV driven by a 16-year-old girl.

According to a breaking news report in The Hour of Norwalk the 44-year-old male jogger died Saturday after being transported to with serious injuries.

The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was unconscious but breathing on his own when Norwalk firefighters arrived on scene, according to the report, citing statements made by officials from the Norwalk Fire Department.

Police reportedly closed the road to traffic during their initial investigation into the accident, which occurred in the southbound lane near #229 New Canaan Ave. The 16-year-old reportedly stopped her SUV at the scene and was being detained be police as investigators took measurements, according to the report. The girl has not been identified.
