Kara Seneck-Ortiz, 32, of 32 Kossuth St., was charged with third-degree robbery, third-degree larceny, fourth-degree larceny and risk of injury to a minor.

Seneck-Ortiz is accused of shoplifting at CVS on Main Avenue while accompanied by a 14-year-old girl. The girl, whom police could not publicly identify because she is a juvenile, was charged with conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny.

A store detective told police that she observed Seneck-Ortiz and the girl fill CVS bags they were carrying and a shopping cart with what amounted to $1,131.32 in merchandise, including shampoo, body wash and paper towels.

The detective said she blocked them as they attempted to leave the store. The girl fled out the door while Seneck-Ortiz momentarily stayed behind.

The detective said Seneck-Ortiz scuffled with her and said “I’m going to kill you,” before grabbing some of the merchandise she allegedly wanted to steal, then ran out to a waiting car in which she got away.
