Gunshot Victim Flees To Home Depot
Man was shot more than once at an apartment complex on Connecticut Avenue.
A 33-year-old man who was shot more than once at a Connecticut Ave. apartment complex Tuesday morning fled to a nearby Home Depot store to escape from his assailants, according to police.
Anthony Edward Patterson was shot at the Oak Knolls Apartments, 554 Connecticut Ave. Police were called to the gardening department at the Home Depot, 600 Connecticut Ave., at 12:04 a.m. on a report of a man there either stabbed or shot.
At a briefing Tuesday morning, Det. Sgt. Marc Lepore said Patterson was taken to Norwalk Hospital with wounds that were not life threatening. He said a car with bullet holes in it was towed from the apartment complex.

Lepore said Patterson goes by the street name “AP.” He said he didn’t know where he resides, and declined to say whether the shooting may have been related to gang activity.
A spokeswoman at Norwalk Hospital said she could provide no information on Patterson’s condition.

In August 2006, Patterson was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder in the shooting death on Nov. 27, 2001, of David Rowley at the Roodner Court public housing project in South Norwalk.
He was sentenced to 11 years in jail, followed by seven years special probation. His sentence was modified in January 2010 to 10 years in jail and 10 years special probation.
