Early Morning Gunfire Reported On Lincoln Avenue

Police received multiple calls of shots fired on Lincoln Avenue shortly after midnight Thursday and detectives found spent shell casings on the street.

One resident reported hearing six or seven shots. Detectives located six casings and found several bullets had pierced the side of a parked Ford Explorer.

A resident told police he heard a car leave at high speed after the gunshots. Another said he saw a dark gray car on Lincoln Avenue turn north onto Woodward Avenue. A third said he saw three males run up the street.

Detectives said they had no idea who the intended victim was, if anyone.
