A four-car crash on the Merritt Parkway shortly before 11 a.m. resulted in one driver being injured and major delays southbound in Norwalk.
The accident occurred at the East Rocks Road overpass. Three cars crashed just east of the overpass; a fourth ended up just west of it in the woods.
Initial reports were that the car in the woods rolled over. Fire department dispatches said the driver had minor injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Norwalk Hospital.
The right southbound lane was passable, but traffic was backed up for miles.
