Former Best Buy Worker Arrested On Larceny Charges

A motor vehicle accident on Main Avenue in Norwalk Tuesday led to the warrant arrest of a former Best Buy employee on larceny charges.

While investigating the 2:30 p.m. car crash, officers discovered there was a warrant for one of the drivers involved, Reginald Gaines, 27, of 25 Leonard St., Norwalk. Charges were not filed in connection with the accident.

Police said that in October 2009, Gaines allegedly stole several items from Best Buy, including an iPod Touch, five videogames, a Motorola earpiece and audio/video cables, worth a total of more than $500.

Gaines was charged with fifth and sixth degree larceny. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 6.
