Drug Bust Thursday at Strawberry Hill Avenue Home

The following information was provided by the Norwalk Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Special Services officers executed five arrest warrants Thursday morning at a Strawberry Hill Avenue home after a five-month investigation into drug sales from there, police said.

Lt. Thomas Mattera, commander of the Special Services unit, said a resident of 89 Strawberry Hill Ave., 21-year-old Pamella Pampoukidis, was charged with multiple counts of possession and sale of narcotics.

At the time of her 6 a.m. arrest, Mattera said, Pampoukidis was found to be in possession of more than 100 pills of prescription narcotics, 6 ounces of marijuana and $3,600 cash, which were kept in a safe in her bedroom.

Pamppoukidis was held in lieu of posting combined, court-set bonds of $125,000.

Mattera said his officers began investigating Pampoukidis based on ”information from the community,” and undercover officers were able to purchase drugs from her at her residence multiple times.

"Smash-And-Grab" Burglaries In Norwalk and Westport

A person delivering supplies to the Starbucks store at 56 Westport Ave. Wednesday night found the front door’s glass smashed in and called police.

Detectives found a black tire iron in the entrance to the store, and one of the store’s two cash registers missing, with other lying on the floor behind the counter.

The burglary was reported at 12:58 p.m.

In possibly related incidents, earlier Wednesday night Westport Police were called to three “smash-and-grab” type burglaries.

At 10:49 p.m. officers responded to a burglar alarm at the Silver Ribbon Jewelry store at 275 Post Rd. East in the Playhouse Square shopping center. They found the glass to the front door broken.

In checking the complex, they found the glass door to Kennedy’s All American Barber Club also broken.

The owner of Silver Ribbon said his cash register, which contained about $50, was misssing. An officer later found it in the area of 22 Riverside Ave. Nothing was found missing at the Barber Club.

Later, officers found the glass door to the Phillips 66 gas station, 485 Post Rd. East, smashed. The owner reported nothing was missing.
