Darien Man Arrested for Marijuana Possession in Front of Diner

Norwalk officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside of a truck being driven by 19 year-old Connor Cicero, according to police.

A 19 year-old Darien man was arrested on Sunday after Norwalk police allegedly observed him smoking marijuana inside of car while parked in front of Silver Star Diner, according to police.

The complainant told police that a black pick-up truck was parked in front of the restaurant for a long period of time, but the driver never exited the vehicle. When officers arrived, they observed Connor Cicero of 11 Crimmins Road sitting in the driver's seat, police said.

The officers said that Cicero rolled the window down halfway, mumbled unintelligibly to them and then proceeded to send text messages on his cell phone. When Cicero was asked to exit the car, the officers found a small bag of marijuana inside of the truck, as well as marijuana leaves scattered across the passenger seat, marijuana cigarettes, a large glass bong, two small glass pipes and small plastic bags often used to package marijuana, police said.

Cicero was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a controlled substance near a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and illegal manufacturing, distribution or sale of prescription drugs. His bond was set at $10,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on April 29.
