Police Want to Ask These Two About a Theft — Seen Them?

Norwalk police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man and a woman who are "persons of interest" regarding a theft of credit cards from a car.

The two were seen by a surveillance camera (labeled "ShopRite," and the pictures appear to show the checkout area of ShopRite on Connecticut Avenue). Police have provided images from the camera (see the two pictures attached to this article).

On Sept. 7, police say, a car was burglarized on New Street in Norwalk. A purse containing credit cards was taken from the vehicle, and those credit cards were later used at several businesses in town.

"Pictured are a male (blue shirt) and a female (black shirt in the bottom left of the picture) who are persons of interest in this crime," police said Thursday in a news release. "We are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying these individuals in the photographs.

"Anyone with information can contact Detective Justin Bisceglie at 203-854-3181 or call the anonymous tip line at 203-854-3111."

Police did not say that either of the two committed the crime or committed any crime.
