Cops: 65-Year-Old Found with Drug Paraphernalia

Norwalk police, investigating a report that a 65-year-old man had taken money from an acquaintance, spoke with him and found he had a glass pipe on him with drug residue on it.

Police gave this account (an accusation not proven in court) of the matter:

A woman called police at 10:53 p.m. Monday to tell them Robert Ragsdale of Norwalk had visited her in her apartment that day and was told to leave.

Before he did so, she told police, he took $175 from her and then pushed her to the floor when she objected. Police didn't charge him with anything related to that, however.

Police did see him on the street and spoke with him, and they also found a glass pipe on him with white residue on it. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ragsdale, of 40 Main St., is scheduled to appear Nov. 27 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
