Construction Trailer Burglarized in East Norwalk

Apparently nothing was taken, but backhoe was tampered with and a truck's window busted.

Employees of a Plantsville, Conn., engineering company Tuesday morning reported a break-in to a trailer in East Norwalk that apparently resulted in nothing being stolen.

They said a lock was cut off the door of an office trailer at Triangle Street and Norden Place, where the company is replacing a traffic bridge that passes over the tracks of Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line.

They said it appeared nothing was missing from the trailer, but the ignition to a backhoe was torn out, and it appeared an attempt was made
to hot-wire the vehicle. Also, a truck's window was broken.
