City Man Caught Flushing Sock Full of Pot Down Toilet

Just after midnight on Dec. 16, Norwalk Police arrested Vincent Fowlkes, 19, of 28 North Taylor Ave for multiple charges including Possession of a Controlled Substance, Illegal Manufacture/Distribution/Sale, Destruction of Property, Possession/Sale within Distance of a School.

Police went to Fowlkes' home to execute a search warrant for a case of motor vehicle burglary in which a set of headphones and an iPod were stolen.

When police knocked on the door, a resident answered and offered to get Fowlkes and closed the door. Police observed Fowlkes through a window, wearing headphones, possibly attempting to flee. Police entered the home and heard a toilet flushing.

In the bathroom police saw what appeared to be a white sock stuck in the toilet. The sock contained 30 small individually wrapped ziploc bags containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.

Fowlkes admitted to smoking marijuana and trying to flush it down the toilet, but said he did not sell.

Fowlkes' bond was set at $20,000 and he has a court date scheduled for Dec. 27, 2013.
