City Man Arrested for Biting Ex's Lip

A 27 year-old city man was arrested Tuesday morning after he allegedly entered a home he formally occupied with his ex-girlfriend and tried to kiss her against her will, according to police.

According to the complainant, Jhonnatan Luppino of 12 Ferris Avenue moved out of the home three weeks prior, but reentered the home that morning, police said. She said that she wasn't sure whether he broke into the home or had a key. The complainant claimed that Luppino tried to get into bed with her, which resulted in a verbal argument, police said. Luppino then tried to kiss her and when she refused, he bit her lip, according to police.

When police arrived on the scene, Luppino had a bottle of prescription medication in his possession that had the complainant's name printed on it, police said. A three-year-old child was also in the home, although the child was not a witness to the altercation.

Luppino was arrested for possession of narcotics, illegal possession of narcotics near a school, disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, risk of injury to a chid, violation of a protective order, criminal trespassing and fourth-degree sexual assault. His bond was set at 10,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court on July 17.
