City Man Accused of Burglarizing Home
Victim identifies her property allegedly found in suspect's bedroom.
A city man was arrested by warrant Monday for allegedly burglarizing a Norwalk residence last month.
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Lisa Cotto said the accused, Joseph McIntyre, was charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree larceny after
police executed a search and seizure at his mother’s home and allegedly located stolen jewelry and other items in his bedroom.
Cotto said McIntyre’s mother identified items during the search that did not belong to her or her son.

McIntyre is accused of entering a house on Bartlett Avenue on Dec. 1 by breaking open a rear door.
Cotto said a resident of the Bartlett Avenue home came to Police Headquarters and identified stolen items belonging to her, including a silver plated bowl, two bracelets, a watch and a ring.

Cotto said McIntyre allegedly told detectives he sold some of the items he stole.
McIntyre, 27, of 10 Vail St., was held on $35,000 bond and was to appear in court Monday.
