Car Stolen From Man Whose Apartment Was Site of Armed Robbery
Says culprits from last Friday's robbery may have taken his car.
A man whose apartment was the scene of a home invasion armed robbery last Friday had his car stolen Monday morning in South Norwalk, and he thinks the same culprits may be involved, police said.
Monday evening, Ryan O. Warner told police he parked his 2010 Dodge Charger SXT shortly before 7 that morning at the intersection of Ely and Lexington avenues and then walked to the South Norwalk train station to catch a train to Manhattan where he works.
When he returned at about 6:20 p.m. it was gone.

Warner told police that during Friday’s robbery a safe was taken from his apartment that contained his car keys and alarm key fob. He speculated the two men who committed the robbery may have followed him to where he parked his car and stole it.
Warner’s 21-year-old girlfriend was in his apartment at 7 Longwood Ct. with two young children when the robbery occurred. They were not physically harmed. Police said the woman told them the robbers told her they were there to collect $20,000 Warner owes them.

Warner said there was a .357 caliber pistol in a holster under the driver’s seat of his Charger. He said there were also two pistols in the stolen safe.
He said his Charger had been parked behind the house his apartment is in before leaving to catch the train. He said the robbers could have been parked at the Bank of America branch across the street from Longwood Ct. waiting for him to leave for work, and then followed him to South Norwalk.
