A woman reported the loss of numerous official documents Tuesday night when her purse was stolen from her car.
The woman told police she was visiting friends when her 2000 Volkswagen Passat was burglarized on Hemlock Place.
Police said access was gained by smashing the right-rear passenger window. A rock was found inside the car.

Besides her driver’s license, credit cards and $8 cash, the woman said her purse contained three passports, three birth certificates and three Social Security cards.

A resident of 23 Kendall Ct. was accused of having a nuisance dog Tuesday afternoon after a neighbor complained his poodle attempted to bite her and a guest.
Police spokesman Lt. Praveen John said the complainant reported the man’s dog entered her yard before threatening her, and this had occurred previously.
Norwalk Animal Control Officer Robert Sirico reported he contacted the dog’s owner, who allegedly said he had released the dog so it could relieve itself.
Hector Huertas, 56, was charged with infractions of owning a nuisance dog and allowing a dog to roam at large.
