Burglary on Sheffield Island
Police were notified Thursday morning of a burglary and vandalism on Sheffield Island.
Police said someone broke into the lighthouse keeper’s quarters through the front door and stole water, soda and chips.
It also was reported that a large amount of trash was strewn around the island.

The lighthouse is maintained by the Norwalk Seaport Association. Sheffield Island is one of the Norwalk islands in Long Island Sound.
