A woman called police Tuesday evening reporting she came home and found a window air conditioner was pushed in and she was uncertain if someone was in her house.
Police found the home at 16 Merrill Rd. empty, but the woman reported an Apple MacBook Pro laptop was stolen.

A resident of 6 Beverly Pl. learned his car was burglarized when a credit card company called to report unusual purchases.
The victim told police on Tuesday he determined his unlocked 2004 Toyota Corolla was entered on Monday and his Citibank Mastercard was stolen.

He told police Citibank called him to report a purchase was made at Wal-Mart using his card amounting to $316. Also, a girl's bicycle was bought at Toys R Us for $72, and $9 in gasoline was purchased.
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Lisa Cotto said detectives will be contacting the merchants to see if video surveillance of the purchases is available.
