Boyfriend Accuses Date of Threatening Him With Knife
Says she objected to a text message he received while they were driving home from Stamford.
A city woman was arrested Thursday for allegedly threatening her boyfriend with a large kitchen knife.
The man told police the woman, who he's been dating for four years, and he were driving home from Stamford when he received a text message to which she objected. He said they argued about it until he dropped her off at her home and then drove to his residence on Water Street.
He said he was standing outside with friends when he noticed her repeatedly driving by and became concerned she would damage his car.

He said she stopped her car, got out and then walked toward him holding a large kitchen knife with a white handle and serrated blade. He said they enchanged words, then she got back in her car and drove away.
He called the police. Officers reported talking to the woman, identified as Kate Torbisco, 22, of 49 Fair St., and she denied having a knife.

They charged Torbisco with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening. She was to appear in court Thursday.
