Bicyclist Found Carrying Drugs
The following information was provided by the Norwalk Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
A call Wednesday night from a resident of Avenue B reporting a suspicious person was in the neighborhood led police to arrest a bicyclist on drug charges.
Officers stopped Christopher Dezso, 19, of 24 Arbor Dr, and asked him to provide identification.
Police allege Dezso was carrying a large baggie containing 12 smaller baggies filled with marijuana.

Dezso was charged with several drug counts, including possession
of less than four ounces of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school.
His bond was set at $1,000 and he was given a court date of
Aug. 30.

Jar of coins taken
A resident of 180 Woodward Ave. on Wednesday reported a jar
containing loose change was stolen sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The resident estimated the change amounted to several hundred dollars.
The home’s front door was unlocked.
Two car break-ins reported Wednesday
Police were called to Total Marine at 160 Water St. Wednesday morning on a report someone was trying to break into a car. The owner of the car told police nothing was missing.
Also in the morning, a car was burglarized at 1 Regent St. A person in the process of loading the car walked inside. When the person returned, it was found a GPS, an Apple laptop and a Sony DVD player were gone.
