Autopsy Results Pending for Four Crash Victims
Police continue to investigate the deaths of two young men and women who died in a fiery Greenburgh crash Sunday. Vincent Mendoza, 20, of Norwalk was among the dead.

The families of the four young men and women who were killed in a high-speed crash on the Sprain Brook Parkway early Sunday morning won't know exactly how their loved ones died until Tuesday, according to a Westchester County Medical Examiner representative.
Victims of the crash included 20-year-old Vincent Mendoza of Norwalk who was identified Sunday afternoon after police were able to contact his family. Mendoza was seated in the rear passenger seat of the Volkswagon, police said.
While the Medical Examiner's Office told Patch early Monday afternoon the autopsies were underway, and later confirmed they were complete, each will also undergo a carbon monoxide test before a definite cause of death can be attributed.
Speaking at a press conference Sunday, New York State Police said they were not yet sure if the impact of the 2013 Volkswagon's collision with an overpass killed 19-year-old driver Bruno Vaccarezza and his three passengers—Fernanda Gomez, Juliana Restrepo and Vincent Mendoza.
The car went up in flames after the crash, police said.
Investigators are also planning to submit toxicology tests for the four victims to determine if any drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash. Police previously said there was no evidence in the charred vehicle to suggest they may have been.
