Norwalk Cops: No Suicide Saturday. A Killer's Out There.

Iroquois Alston and Rickita Smalls, residents of Bridgeport, were killed by somebody else: Their case was not a murder-suicide.

Both the man and woman on Avenue B were murdered, the Norwalk Police Department has announced.

A late afternoon news release from department spokesman Lt. Paul Resnick says the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington ruled their deaths were homicides from gunshot wounds.

Earlier today, the Iroquois Alston died of a gunshot wound to his head. Resnick’s release reveals Rickita Smalls also died of a gunshot wound.

Both Alston, 27, and Smalls, 22, were residents of Bridgeport. Their bodies were discovered in a black Honda car at around 7:30 a.m. Saturday by a resident; with the car’s front passenger side window broken out.

The car was registered to Smalls, who was in the driver’s seat, with Alston in the front passenger seat.
